
Nutrition Services offers services to both inpatients and outpatients at Galion Community Hospital.
In the inpatient setting, registered dietitians work closely with physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals to develop and implement care plans for patients that are nutritionally compromised due to both acute and chronic disease states. Acute Care at Galion Community Hospital maintainS a registered dietitian who is solely responsible for over seeing the diverse and often challenging needs of the patients on each respective floor. The special care and attention this offers contributes to the high quality of care that patients receive at Galion Community Hospital.
In the out patient setting, a registered dietitian provides nutritional counseling services to both patients referred by their respective physicians for disease management to anyone in the general public who is looking to improve their overall health and well-being. Patients are frequently seen for nutritional management of disease states such as Diabetes, Cancer, Hypertension, Dyslipidemia, Obesity, and many others.
