
The Outpatient Therapy department at Galion Community Hospital assist patients in regaining physical mobility, strength, and ability to activities of daily living.
Physical Therapy:
Following surgery, disabling illness, or an accident, your physician may refer you for therapy for rehabilitation. The primary goal of our therapy department is to concentrate on abilities rather than disabilities while working toward achieving functional independence. Emphasis is placed on the participation of you and your family in the rehabilitation program.
Occupational Therapy:
Focuses on activities, procedures and appliances that assist you in returning to as normal in Activities of Daily Living as possible. This may include the use of assistive appliances such as braces, special eating utensils, etc.
Speech and Audiology Services:
Performs services that relate to the evaluation and treatment of disorders that relate to the ability to hear and speak, as well as activities such as swallowing. Through the use of tests to diagnose problems, activities and appliances, they assist you in better hearing and speech.
