The Surgery Department consists of 4 fully equipped operating rooms, and a fully equipped endoscopy suite. Each room has up-to-date monitoring equipment, as well as the latest in surgical supplies and equipment, providing our patients a safe and comfortable surgical experience. The surgery and recovery room is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Galion Community Hospital surgery department is JCAHO accredited.

The Surgery department provides a variety of surgical services, including endoscopy, gynecology, obstetrics, orthopedics, general surgery, ear-nose-throat, urology, ophthalmology. We are fully equipped to perform laparascopic and endoscopic procedures, which provide our patients with shorter surgery and recovery time.

Our patients range in age from 2 on up. Surgeries are done on an outpatient, or inpatient basis, depending on the type of Surgery and the patient's post-surgical recovery status.

The Surgery Staff works closely with the patient and families to provide as much information about the patient's surgery as possible, and answer questions. It is our goal to minimize the stress associated with the surgery process.
